On 21 March 2018, as part of Cultural Capital project, a meeting took place in the House of Journalists with Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage.
Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Arts. The main theme became “the war of memories and dialogue of cultures in the museum setting”.
The meeting was moderated by Liudmila Dmitriyevna Fomicheva, chairwoman of the Union of Journalists for St Petersburg and Leningrad Region, Director of the House of Journalists. To mark the 110th anniversary of the birth of Boris Borisovich Piotrovsky, she asked Mikhail Borisovich to speak about Boris Borisovich as a scholar, long-time Hermitage director and father. The meeting also touched on the activities of the Union of Museums of Russia, of which Mikhail Piotrovsky is president.
The Cultural Capital project comprises a series of encounters in the House of Journalists with the most striking and interesting creative figures in St Petersburg and Russia.
